Letter To Patients Regarding Our Merger

 

IMPORTANT UPDATE: PRACTICE MERGER – 2 NOVEMBER

Dear Patient,

We are writing to let you know about an important change to our services.

From 2 November, our practice will be merging with West Wirral Group Practice in Thingwall. The combined practice will be known as Links Medical.

This merger marks an important step towards working together and providing a more joined-up service for our patients.

As part of the merger, we will be bringing our medical and administrative systems together. This is an important and complex process, and while we are doing everything we can to make the transition as smooth as possible, there may be some temporary disruption during the first few days.

What may this mean for you

We want to reassure you that your care and safety remain our highest priority. Our teams will be working hard throughout the transition to minimize any impact on:

· Appointments

· Prescriptions

· Communication

· Other practice services

However, during the initial few days, there may be longer than usual waiting times or temporary delays while our staff become familiar with the new combined systems.

There will also be reduced capacity at The Warrens Medical Centre between the 30th October and the 3rd November as important data is transferred. Further details will follow.

We kindly ask for your patience and understanding during this period.

 

 

Keeping you informed

We will keep you updated throughout the transition and will share important information and any changes through a range of channels, including:

· Our practice websites

· Our social media pages

· TV screens in our waiting areas

· Automated messages through our telephone systems

· Direct communication with patients where appropriate

We are holding drop-in sessions for patients to ask questions or voice concerns at the following locations and times:

· Wednesday 16th September at Marine Lake Medical Practice, 5pm till 7pm

· Thursday 17th September at The Warrens Medical Centre, Arrowe Park Road, CH49 5PL, 10am till 12 noon

· Monday 5th October at The Warrens Medical Centre, 3pm till 5pm

· Tuesday 6th October at Marine Lake Medical Practice, 3pm till 5pm

There will be representatives from both practices and also Patient Participation Group Members present.

We appreciate your patience, understanding and support as we make this important change. We are confident that bringing our teams and systems together will help us continue to develop and improve the services we provide to you.
