I worked in Southport for 4 years in a surgery heavily focused on the practice of lifestyle medicine, which was an invaluable experience. In 2020 I moved with my family to live & work in West Kirby. I gained a diploma from the royal college of obstetrics & gynaecology, & have a PC Cert in Medical Education from University of Central Lancashire. I am a GP trainer & proud to work at Marine Lake which has a reputation for providing an excellent junior doctor training experience.

I qualified as a GP in 2010 and have been working at Marine Lake since 2014. I did 2 lots of training at Marine Lake in 2007 and in 2009 and enjoyed it so much I came back after a few years at a GP surgery in Wallasey. I am from the West Midlands originally but now live near Chester and really enjoy working on the Wirral. 2 years ago I trained to fit contraceptive coils and do this once a week at the practice. This goes along with my interests in family planning and gynaecology in general. I also do baby checks and have an interest in paediatrics. Another role I have is mentoring the 5th year medical students that do placements at our practice. I enjoy supervising the 5th years and the trainee doctors that we have in the practice.

Originally from North Yorkshire I came to Liverpool to study medicine in 2004, qualifying in 2008. I originally started training in obstetrics and gynaecology but made the decision to change to GP training in 2014. I then trained part time, alongside having 2 children and qualified in February 2022. I did 18 months as a trainee in marine lake, loved it so, came back to work as a salaried GP.
I have continued my special interest in women’s health and currently work 3 days a week at Marine lake and I also do one gynaecology clinic a week at Arrowe Park Hospital. I have also recently taken over the role of foundation doctor supervisor for the practice.
I’m a wife and mum of 2 children and in my spare time like to play hockey.

I have been a GP at Marine Lake Medical practice since 2018. I did my medical degree at the University of Manchester followed by foundation training in Chester and GP training on the Wirral, which is where I am originally from! I have a Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare which is one of my areas of interest, but I really do enjoy all aspects of general practice. I currently live in beautiful North Wales and have previously volunteered, and remain good friends, with the North East Wales Search and Mountain rescue team. I have a young family who keep me very busy outside of work for the time being but I hope to return to volunteering in the future. In my spare time I love nothing more than to get outside and enjoy lots of forest and hill walks to keep fit and active.

I am originally from the North West and graduated from Manchester University in 2009. I then did my Foundation training in Liverpool at The Royal. Following this, I spent 2 years in A+E in Australia. It was interesting to learn more about a different healthcare system and I had the opportunity to work with the Aboriginal population and deal with problems like jelly fish stings! Afterwards, I returned to the UK to complete GP training in the East end of London. I have since had experience working in a number of surgeries across South Wales and the North West. I enjoy the variety of General Practice, and the potential to establish continuity with patients. I now live on the Wirral with my family, including my nursery age daughter and two cats!

I moved to Chester to complete my GP training, which I finally completed in 2019 and worked as a GP there for a few years before moving to the beautiful Wirral with my husband and three children (who keep me busy for much of my time outside of work!). I started working at Marine Lake Medical Practice in May 2023 (just before we moved into the new building!). I particularly enjoy the variety of work that General Practice offers and have developed have an interest in Lifestyle Medicine, an area of medicine which aims to support patients to prevent, manage and even reverse certain chronic conditions. I have recently embarked on working towards gaining an accreditation in Lifestyle Medicine through the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine and hope to use the knowledge I gain in my future practice.

Training practice
As a practice we are committed to supporting the training of healthcare professionals. At times we may have student doctors or nurses; qualified doctors at an early stage of their career (GP Registrars); trainee midwives; health visitors or other professionals working with our experienced staff.
GP Registrars are fully qualified doctors who are completing their advanced training to enable them to become future general practitioners. For purposes of training they occasionally consult in a video surgery and we will always seek your permission before booking you into one of the clinics. These doctors also consult in joint surgeries with their GP trainer present.
We will always ask your permission before you see any trainee professional and refusing to see them will never affect your right to see an alternative clinician of your choice.
GP net earnings
NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised, and the required disclosure is shown below. However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Marine Lake Medical Practice in the last financial year was £74,799 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 5 full time GPs, 9 part time GPs and 3 locum GPs who have worked in the practice for more than six months.
