Any adult, aged 18 or over, who is finding it difficult to perform some day-to-day tasks, may qualify for care and support. They might be struggling as a result of age, illness, disability or any significant change in their life.
The aim of adult social care services is to support people to stay independent for as long as possible and maintain their wellbeing. This may include accessing support from a range of community, voluntary and advocacy services.
